The Weld County Public Works Department has reviewed this proposal; the following requirements are
recommended to be a part of any approval:
COMMENTS:
WCR 20 has been annexed by the Town of Firestone. The Town of Firestone will have the jurisdiction over any
access points. Please send a referral to the Town of Firestone to verify access or any additional requirements
at this location.
REQUIREMENTS:
The applicant should expand the driveway surface from WCR 20 to the proposed veterinarian hospital to a
minimum width of 18 feet to accommodate two-way traffic to the facility.
The applicant should place on the plat the approximate sizes of the proposed veterinarian hospital and parking
lot area.
The applicant also needs to place on the plat the location of the retention area and flow arrows showing where
the run-off from the proposed hospital and parking lot will flow to the retention area.

Environmental Protection Services has reviewed this proposal;the following conditions are recommended to be
part of any approval:
I) All liquid and solid wastes shall be stored and removed for final disposal in a manner that protects
against surface and groundwater contamination.
2) No permanent disposal of wastes shall be permitted at this site.
3) Waste materials shall be handled, stored, and disposed in a manner that controls fugitive dust,
blowing debris, and other potential nuisance conditions.
4) Fugitive dust shall be controlled on this site.
5) The maximum permissible noise level shall not exceed the residential limit of 55db(A)as measured
according to 25-12-102, Colorado Revised Statutes.
6) Adequate toilet facilities shall be provided for the public.
7) The facility shall utilize the existing municipal sewage treatment system.
8) The facility shall utilize the existing public water supply.
9) The facility shall receive a permit from and comply with the United States Department of Agriculture
Rules&Regulations Pertaining to the Administration and Enforcement of the Pet Animal Care and
Facilities Act.

This letter is to confirm that the Town of Firestone has been in contact with the
applicant of the above referenced application and is proceeding with
developing an annexation agreement between the applicant and Firestone.
Once we have an final draft agreement, we will provide you a copy for your
review.
As we have previously discussed, it does appear that in order to be consistent
with the IGA between Weld County and Firestone, the above noted application
does qualify as requiring an annexation agreement with the Town of Firestone
prior to any formal action by the Board of County Commissioners on the
application.

The Frederick Area Fire Protection District provides fire protection services to the above address.
There are no fire hydrants located within 1000' of this proposed structure, therefore the Fire
District requests that we review construction plans for fire protection. The plans must be
submitted to the Frederick Area Fire Protection District, P. O. Box 129, 31 Walnut Drive,
Frederick, Co. 80530. Our Fire engineers request a 7 day time period for review. A fee will be
assessed for review and other costs necessary for approval.
