The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular
session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the
State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial
Center, Greeley, Colorado, September 25, 1995, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.

NEW BUSINESS:
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman
and on roll call the following members were present,
constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chairman
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller
Finance and Administration Director, Don Warden
Commissioner Baxter moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority
Board meeting of August 28, 1995, as printed. Commissioner Kirkmeyer
seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
CONSIDER 1996 SECTION 8 ESTIMATE OF TOTAL REQUIRED ANNUAL
CONTRIBUTIONS AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN: Jim Sheehan,
Housing Authority Director, stated the anticipated contributions for the Voucher
Program for 1996 are $1,031,561.00, which is up from $1,015,354.00 for 1995,
due to increased rental rates. He stated the contributions required for the
Certificate Program are $744,835.00, which is down from last year's level of
$765,413.00 since based on older units the federal funding is at a lower rate;
therefore, the number of units must be reduced to accommodate the funding.
Mr. Sheehan noted the administrative fee has gone up due to a different rate
schedule from HUD and several plans are being debated in Washington, which
may change the program. Commissioner Webster moved to approve said
estimate and authorize the Chairman to sign. The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Baxter and carried unanimously.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to
and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
