Dear Mr. Baxter,
The Town of Johnstown respectfully requests some assistance from
the County for resurfacing Kuner Avenue in Johnstown.
Kuner Avenue is the street that goes from HWY 60 to the county
shop. I am told the county trucks, etc. place considerable wear
and tear on this street. I have also been told that the County
has shared in this cost previously.
Bestway Paving did the work and the total cost was $3,816.00 for
2" of overlay. If you would like to split the cost with the Town
of Johnstown would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Mayor Martinez:
This letter is in response to the Town of Johnstown's letter dated October 14, 1997, requesting cost
sharing for the overlay of Kuner Avenue. The Board of Weld County Commissioners is willing to
share one-half the cost. The County will forward a check to the Town in the amount of $1,908.
The Commissioners will consider participation in paving projects that are a joint responsibility of
municipalities and the County. If the Town of Johnstown is considering future projects, the
Commissioners would appreciate requests for participation prior to projects being constructed.
