A public hearing was conducted on January 14, 1998, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Chair
Commissioner W. H. Webster, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer- EXCUSED
Also present:

Planning Department representative, Scott Ballstadt
Health Department representative, Sheble McConnellogue
Public Works representative, Don Carroll
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 17, 1997, and duly published
December 24, 1997, in the Platteville Herald, a public hearing was conducted to consider the
request of Anita and Kurt Knudson for a Veterinary Hospital with associated dog runs/kennel
(maximum boarding of 120 dogs and 35 cats) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Lee Morrison,
Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Scott Ballstadt, Department of Planning
Services representative, stated the sign was not posted properly to give the surrounding property
owners sufficient notice, and requested the Board continue this hearing to January 28, 1998.
Commissioner Baxter moved to continue the hearing of Anita and Kurt Knudson for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Special Review Permit for a Veterinary Hospital with associated Dog
Runs/Kennel (maximum boarding of 120 Dogs and 35 Cats) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Hall, and it carried unanimously.
