RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING PROBABLE CAUSE - BRAGG RANCH
COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on August 25, 1997, a Probable Cause Hearing was held before the Board
to consider setting a Show Cause Hearing to determine whether or not the Bragg Ranch
Company were operating a commercial hog operation in compliance with Special Use Permit
#3, and
WHEREAS, the alleged violations were said to be occurring on property described as;
SE'/ and that part of SW%, Section 13, Township 2 North, Range 65
West of the 6th P.M, beginning at center of the Section south 940
feet, north 89° 44', west 320 feet north 7° 47' east 941°, east 190' to
beginning. (Approximateley 163 acres); NE'/ and E''ANWY and
NE%SE%, Section 24, Township 2 North, Range 65 West
(Approximately 273 acres) NW% Section 19, Township 2 North,
Range 64 West (Approximately 147 acres) SW% of Section 18,
Township 2 North, Range 64 West of the 6th P.M (Approximately 147
acres), Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, at said hearing of August 25, 1997, the Board deemed it advisable to set a
Show Cause Hearing on said matter for September 3, 1997, at 9:00 a.m.; however, if a request
to abandon said permit is received froom all property owners, said hearing will be vactaed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Show Cause Hearing be and hereby is scheduled on September 3, 1997,
to determine whether to vacate Special Use Permit # 3.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 25th day of August, A.D., 1997.
