ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dave Bressler. Present were Board Members Dave Bressler, Pat Cote, Margie Martinez, and Terry Urista; and staff members Kent Donahue, Jim McEachron, and Linda Weingardt. MINUTES: Terry Urista moved, seconded by Pat Cote, that the minutes of the May 19, 1998, meeting be approved as presented. Minutes were unanimously approved. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Staff Report: The construction in the Dispatch Center is completed and Motorola is programming the equipment for the transition to the virtual phones. The old system will remain in place for a short period of time in the event of problems occurring with the new equipment. The EMD software will be installed into the CAD terminals sometime during the middle of July. The New Raymer tower is completed. The box has been wired at Motorola, electrical and phone service are being completed and the tower should go "live" within two weeks. Stoneham/New Raymer Fire District is concerned that they don't have pagers that are compatible to the system and will probably be contacting the 911 Board for assistance in purchasing new pagers. Kent advised that he has signed the service agreement with Motorola. Although it doesn't have to be renewed, it does lock us in for a specified dollar amount for the next five years so there is no concern about raising the contract fees. The service agreement for the first year is $3,700 which covers the remaining 16 hours of the day that the 1$`year warranty doesn't cover; 2"d year is $7,116; 3`d year is $7,416, 4th year is $7,728; and the 5h year is $8,064. All of these charges are considerably less than what was being paid to US West for maintenance. During the month of May, 250 EMD calls were handled by Dispatch. The reports that are being compiled are necessary to obtain Center of Excellence Certification. Chief Branham will be speaking about the EMD system on a "Talk with the Mayor" program on TCI. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Treasurer's Report: Terry Urista moved, seconded by Pat Cote, to approve payment of the monthly bills totaling $12,222.43, which includes $10.937.37 to US West for monthly service charges; $29.60 to Wiggins for June name and number charges; and $1,255.46 to US West for repair on a console. Motion was unanimously approved. As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned. 4 V( 981355 ((f913 WELD COUNTY E-911 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICE AUTHORITY BOARD AGENDA TUESDAY, JULY 21, 1998 NOON ROLL CALL: Dave Bressler Pat Cote Connie Harbert Margie Martinez Gary Sandau Jack Statler Terry Urista MINUTES: Approve minutes of June 16, 1998, meeting OLD BUSINESS: 1.
