Dear Landowner:
In conformance with the rules and regulations established by the Mined Land Reclamation
Board, the attached notice is being sent to you in order to inform you of the application of
Andesite Rock Company; Del Camino Pit to mine sand and gravel at or near the SW 1/4 of
Section 3, T2N, R68W, 6th Prime Meridian, Weld County, Colorado.
Should you wish to obtain additional information regarding the project, you may contact any of
the individuals indicated in the notice or Molly Orkild-Larson of our office.
Written responses must be forwarded to the Mined Land Reclamation Board by Wednesday
April 30, 1997.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Andesite Rock Company; 9065 Quince Street; Henderson, CO 80640 has filed an
application for an Amendment to a Mining Operation Reclamation Permit with the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Board under provisions of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Act. The current operation is known as Del Camino Pit. The current operation is located at or
near the SW 1/4 of Section 3, T2N, R68W, 6th Prime Meridian, Weld County, Colorado.
The general location of this operation is the vicinity of I-25 and Colorado Highway
119; 5 miles east of the City of Longmont, Colorado.
The proposed date of commencement is summer 1997 and the proposed date of
completion is 2006. The proposed future use of the land will be developed water resources.
Additional information and tentative decision date may be obtained from the Division of
Minerals and Geology; Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street; Denver, Colorado 80203, (303)
866-3567, or Weld County Clerk and Recorder, 915 Tenth Street; Greeley, CO 80632 or the
above named applicant.
Comments must be in writing and must be received by the Division of Minerals and
Geology by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 30, 1997.
