Dear Mr. Hall, Ms. Harbert, Mr. Baxter, Ms. Kirkmeyer, and Mr. Webster:
On behalf of the search committee, Provost David Young and President Al Yates, ! am pleased to share
with you that we have successfully completed our search for a new Cooperative Extension director.
Following a lengthy search and input from individuals representing the myriad of organizations that
benefit from Cooperative Extension programs, Milan Rewerts was identified as the person to lead
Colorado State University Cooperative Extension into the next decade. Milan is well known to the
numerous constituent groups throughout the state that benefit from Extension's agriculture,4-H youth
development and consumer and family-education programs.
Milan knows Colorado State's Cooperative Extension program from the ground up. He has a combined
27 years of experience as a field agent, district director, personnel director and, most recently, interim
director. He not only possesses the experience and demonstrated ability to lead the organization, he has
the confidence of Cooperative Extension faculty and staff, his colleagues on campus, including central
administration, and numerous external organizations and agencies.
Please join me in welcoming Milan as the new director of Colorado State Cooperative Extension. Milan
and I both look forward to moving through the current restructure and redirection plan, known as
Cooperative Extension 2000,to create an atmosphere of continued trust and strengthened relationships
with our partners throughout the state.
Sincerely
in L. Knox
Associate Provost for Agriculture and Public Service
