RESOLUTION OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado
statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of
Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of Weld County, State of Colorado, at a duly and lawfully
called regular meeting held on the 17th day of June, A.D., 1996, at which meeting there were present the
following members: Chair Barbara J. Kirkmeyer and Commissioners George E. Baxter, Dale K. Hall,
Constance L. Harbert, and W. H. Webster; notice of such meeting and an opportunity to be present having
been given to the taxpayer and the Assessor of said County and said Assessor,Warren Lasell, being present,
and taxpayer, Hewlett-Packard Company not being represented; and
WHEREAS,the said County Commissioners have carefully considered the within application and are
fully advised in relation thereto.
NOW BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
concurs with the recommendation of the assessor, and the petition be partially approved, the abatement for
1993 being denied and the abatement for 1994 being approved in part; therefore, an abatement refund with
the values recommended by the Assessor as follows for 1994:

Dear Mr. Licht:
This letter is a follow-up to your telephone conversation with Stan Jantz of our office. As you
and he agree the terms which follow are acceptable to me:
1) You will resubmit a petition for abatement on parcel # 0959-04-3-00-025 for year 1994
with the agreed upon value of$10,500,000,
2) You will withdraw the, 1993 petition for abatement on the above parcel (#1), and
3) We agree to recommend approval of 1994 abatement to County Board of
Commissioners.

Re: 1993 and 1994 Abatement Petition for Hewlett-Packard Company
Dear Mr. Lasell:
We discussed the following with Stan Jantz regarding the above referenced appeals:
1. We will amend the 1994 abatement on parcel number 0959-04-3-00-025 to
$10,500,000.
2. We will not withdraw the 1993 petition until the 1994 is finalized. This is
necessary to avoid exhausting our clients administrative remedies if the Board
of County Commissioners does not concur with our agreed upon value.
3. We will withdraw the 1993 petition immediately after the 1994 value is reduced
to $10,500,000 and approved by the State.

This is to advise you that the Weld County Board of Commissioners will hear your petition for
abatement or refund of taxes on the property described as: Commercial. The meeting is
scheduled for Monday, June 17, 1996, at 9:00 a.m., at which time you may be heard. You are
required to submit any supporting documentation regarding this petition to the Office of the Clerk
