Subject: Consider Placement of Stop Signs at WCR 38 and WCR 25.5
I received a complaint from Ed Prince, 17921 WCR 25, Platteville, CO 80651. He advised me that
the intersection of WCR 38 and WCR 25.5 is a potentially dangerous area due to the "blind" corner.
I have completed an on -site investigation of the physical characteristics on the intersection of
WCR 38 and WCR 25.5. The attached sketch shows that there are multiple obstructions for the
northbound and southbound traffic lanes.
My recommendation is to place a "stop ahead" and a "stop" sign for the northbound and southbound
lanes as well as replace the existing "cross road" sign with the appropriate offset intersection signs.
For the added safety, I would recommend leaving the blind corner signs for all four directions of
traffic.
