Commissioner Andersen offered the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners did by Resolution
dated July 7, 1959, close the Weld County Courthouse on Saturday mornings
on a trial basis so that all persons employed in the respective Courts and
offices of the County will work on a uniform 40-hour week, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that no inconvenience to the
public has been created by closing the Courthouse on Saturday mornings, and
WHEREAS, this Board deems it advisable to close the Courthouse
on Saturday mornings on a permanent basis or until further order of the
Board of County Commissioners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Weld County Courthouse
and all offices therein be closed on Saturday mornings on a permanent basis,
or until further order of the Board of County Commissioners, commencing
October 24, 1959, and on each Saturday morning thereafter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the office hours for all offices
affected by this Resolution are hereby established as being from 8:00 A. M.
to 5:00 P. M., Monday through Friday.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this Resolution does not affect
the working conditions or hours of employment of the road and bridge
crews of the respective commissioner districts and the hours of the county
and shop crew which have been heretofore established by Resolution Number 22,
File Number 2149, passed and adopted December 28, 1957.
