RE: APPROVE SELECTION OF COLORADO COUNTIES CASUALTY AND PROPERTY
POOL TO PROVIDE PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Donald Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, has presented to
the Board a 1997-1998 Insurance Analysis for property and casualty insurance for the County
of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, said insurance policies to commence July 1, 1997, and
WHEREAS, insurance proposals were received from Colorado Counties Casualty and
Property Pool (CAPP), A.J. Gallagher and Company, Lockton Insurance Companies, and Flood
and Peterson Insurance, Inc., and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve the selection of
CAPP to provide insurance for Weld County for 1997-1998 based upon the analysis presented,
a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and to reject all other
insurance proposals submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Colorado Counties CAPP be, and hereby is, selected to provide
property and casualty insurance for the County of Weld, State of Colorado.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 21st day of May, A.D., 1997.
