Gentlemen:--' The Honorable_Board of County Commissioners Of yield County, Colorado, h&fre directed me to notify you that they have been petitioned1f tk:urgently requested, to burhld a bridge over and across the Poudre river, at a point where said river- crosses the County Line Road on the East side of Section 24, Tp. `6N. , R. 68 West, Larimer County; and after careful investigation believe the prayer of petitioners should be granted, and and willing to grant their wish, PROVIDED Larimer county will guarantee one half of the expense. The Honorable Board are familiar with the agreement be- tween the two counties whereby each county is to maintain and keep in repair certain portions of said county line road, but feel, in lieu of the fact that Weld County Road No. .476 was declared a public highway September 12, 1904 or about five years subsequent to the date of agreement. To the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Greeley, Colo. , Gentlemen: - • -In- reply to your letter_of__2/7/12 , _.in.-.regard to the building of a bridge across the Poudre river, on the County line East side of Section 24 - 6 - 68 , and stating that Weld County would be willing to build this bridge , Provided, that Larimer County would guarantee half of the expense. Larimer County Commissioners believes that the building of this bridge is with Weld County entirely, according to the agree- ment accepted and approved May 1-1899, which agreement has been and is now considered as binding on both Counties. This road was laid according to our records in 1874, as follows ; Commencing at the south west corner of section 24 - 6 - 68, thence running North 10 miles. Weld County according to the agreement, agreed to take care of the south 5 ,3/4 milesof said road, and Larimer County the rest, and that has been the understanding as far as Larimer County is concerned , in working the county line road. Larimer County the past year expended N1.63l.98 , on bridges and grading on this same road, if this County had thought, that this agreement was not operative , Weld County would have been consulted, before this work was done, so that '.7eld County could have had an opportunity to pay half of this expense, /0-- 9 MMISSION ERS =Inn (��]��•• �y/ OFFICERS W In & unt %LEN P. COUNTY OF Weld At a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners for Meld County, Colorado, held at the Court House, in Greeley on Monday the 12th day of September A. Clerk, Deputy, when the following proceedings, among others, were had and done, to-wit: IN THE MATTER OF PETITION FOR ROAD ALONG WEST SIDE OF SECTIONS 18 and 19, Tp. 6 N. R. 67 W. A petition signed by D. Idetcalf, Jacob Ginther, John M. Miller and nine others praying for a road sixty feet in width, as follows, viz:-- Commencing at the Northwest corner of the S. W. -1 Section 18, Tp. N. , H. 67 West and running from thence South one and one half miles t the S. W. corner of Section 19, said Township and Range. Said road to be 30 feet in width on the Wield County side, the 30 feet on the Larimer County side having been granted I.iay 10th, 1873 as per the roc ds of said. Larimer County--was presented to the Board when the following action was taken and entered of record, to-wit :- It apiearing to the Board thct the right of way for said road ha been donated by D. Metcalf owner of the S. V..z Section 19, Tp. 6 N. , R. 67; Jacob Ginther owner of the N. W.? Sec 19, Tp 6 N. , R. 67 and John M. Filler owner of the S. l: -'.= Section 18, Tp. 6 TI. , R. 67, and the Board fully believing that the public good reijuires the laying ou of said road, on motion it was ordered that the prayers of the petiti ors be €:anted and that the right of way as above described he and the so. is hereby declared a public highway.
