RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT TO WELD 911 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE AUTHORITY
BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a vacancy currently exists on the Weld 911 Emergency Telephone
Authority Board, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Kent Donahue be appointed as the City of
Greeley representative to said board, to replace Jack Statler, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Kent Donahue to said board, to
fulfill the remainder of Jack Statler's term expiring January 9, 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Kent Donahue be, and hereby is, appointed to the Weld 911
Emergency Telephone Authority Board, with his term to expire January 9, 2001.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 17th day of May, A.D., 1999.

THE CITY OF GREELEY, COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. II , 1999
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING CAPTAIN KENT DONAHUE TO A TWO-YEAR TERM
ON THE WELD COUNTY E-911 AUTHORITY BOARD.
WHEREAS, the Weld County E-911 Authority Board is a legal entity responsible for the
administration of the E-911 emergency telephone service program, and by intergovernmental
agreement, one of the seven board members is appointed by the Greeley City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City's representative to the E-911 Board is allowed two consecutive two-
year terms; and
WHEREAS., Captain Jack Statler has been the City's representative on the Board for the past
two years; and
WHEREAS, the two-year rotation of assignments by the Police Department requires a new
appointee by the City to the Weld County E-911 Authority Board; and
WHEREAS,Police ChiefPaul Branham recommends that City Council appoint Captain Kent
Donahue to a two-year term on the Weld County E-91 I Authority Board.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CiREELEY,
COLORADO.
Section I. The City Council hereby appoints Captain Kent Donahue to represent the City of
Greeley on the Weld County E-9 I I Authority Board for a two-year term.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of _April
1999.
