RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR
CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF THE THERMAL TOPS AND THERMAL
DRAWERS - SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XIV, Section 14-9 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter,
the ten-day waiting period for consideration and investigation of bids submitted must be waived by
resolution of the Board for emergency purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for the bid for the thermal tops and thermal drawers for the Sheriffs Department, Bid
Request No. 500315-95, due to the onset of Winter, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-day
waiting period for said bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for the bid for the thermal tops and thermal
drawers for the Sheriffs Department, Bid Request No. 500315-95, be, and hereby is, waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid for thermal tops and thermal
drawers for the Sheriffs Department, listed on Bid Request No. 500315-95, be, and hereby is,
approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 8th day of November, A.D., 1995.
