RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the present State Highway # 155 from State Highway # 14 to
Hereford is being deleted from the State Highway System as of January 1, 1954 in
accordance with the Revised State Highway System as authorized by Senate Bill # 170
passed by the last legislature, and
VH:PPEAS, t-is Highway has served as a connection between State Highway # 14
and the Colorado—Wyoming State Line, it is requested by the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado that consideration be giver to placing the present County road
North from State Highway # 14 near Briggsdale through Hereford to the Colorado-Wyoming
Line on the Revised State Highway System, and
hEREAS, the total distance is' 26.5 miles for this connection between State
Highway # 14 to Hereford, and
WHEREAS, no State Highway connection from this part of Colorado will exist
to connect Colorado, Wyoming and Western Nebraska for the necessary traffic that exists in
this area, and
WHEREAS, a connection between U. S. 30 and State Highway # 14 is very vital
and important to Colorado, Wyoming, and Western Nebraska,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the present State Highway # 155 from
State Highway # 14 to Hereford be retained on the Revised State Highway System and that
the present County road North from State Highway r 14 near Briggsdale through Hereford
to the Colorado-Wyoming Line be placed on the Revised State Highway System.
