Home My WebLink About960521.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES ON WELD COUNTY ROADS 17, 19, 23, AND 27 AT WELD COUNTY ROAD 100 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS,the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the Board that"Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs be installed on Weld County Roads 17, 19, 23, and 27 at Weld County Road 100, to ensure safety to the traveling public, and WHEREAS,the Board has determined that said traffic control devices are necessary for the protection of the general public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of Public Works be, and hereby is, directed to install "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs on Weld County Roads 17, 19, 23, and 27 at Weld County Road 100, for the safety of the general public, and said signs shall conform to the State manual and specifications. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 25th day of March, A.D., 1996. The paving of WCR 100 established it as a "through" road. The intersections requiring traffic control signs are described below: 1) On WCR 17, a "stop ahead" and a "stop" sign need to be installed in the southbound approach to WCR 100. WCR 17 remains a gravel road. 2) On WCR 19, a"stop ahead" and a"stop" sign need to be installed in both the northbound and southbound approaches to WCR 100. WCR 19 remains a gravel road. 3) On WCR 23, a "stop ahead" and a "stop" sign need to be installed in the southbound approach to WCR 100. WCR 23 is also a gravel road. 4) On WCR 27, a "stop ahead" and a "stop" need to be installed in both the northbound and southbound approaches to WCR 100. WCR 27 remains a gravel road. I recommend these changes be made according to the attached diagrams to protect the safety of the traveling public.
