Home My WebLink About972734.tiffRECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES WELD COUNTY, COLORADO DECEMBER 31, 1997 TAPE #97- 33 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, December 31, 1997, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner George E. Baxter, Chair Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Pro-Tem Commissioner Dale K. Hall - EXCUSED Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer Commissioner W. H. Webster Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick Comptroller, Claud Hanes MINUTES: WARRANTS: Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting of December 29, 1997, as printed. Commissioner Webster seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. Claud Hanes, Comptroller, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount of $28,998.45. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Hanes. Commissioner Harbert seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. T 972734 BC0016 BUSINESS: NEW: CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES WITH ACKERMAN AND ASSOCIATES, P.C. AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Under this agreement the Weld County Department of Social Services will pay $75 per hour for psychological and parent supportive consultation to Weld County foster parents for up to ten hours per week. The total amount to be reimbursed will not exceed $15,000 from the Mental Health Core Services Funds under the Family Preservation Program, and the term of this agreement is from January 1, 1998, through May 31, 1998. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Harbert, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES WITH FRANK M. ANDREWS, PH. D. AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Under this agreement the Weld County Department of Social Services will pay $90 per hour for psychological and parent supportive consultation to Weld County foster parents for up to five hours per week. The total amount to be reimbursed will not exceed $11,700 from the Mental Health Core Services Funds under the Family Preservation Program, and the term of this agreement is from January 1, 1998, through May 31, 1998. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Webster, the motion carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
