Subject:BELLA tIOLSTIE N DAIRY EXPANSION
we the below signed Weld County mayors would like to voice our concerns over the proposed expansion of the Bella
Holstein dairy. It is our understanding that the dairy is l000c�ted approximately one half mile east of Platteville and
that they have requested permission to expand their operation to 5000 cattle. It is also our understanding that the
town of Platteville is opposed to this expansion because they feel having that number of cattle so close to their town
will have a negative affect on the quality of life in the town and adversely affect the town's ability to have quality
future growth.
We feel strongly that it is our duty as mayors to provide our citizens with clean,quality towns hi which to live and
raise their families. We fear this duty will be very difficult to accomplish if we arc not allowed to have a strong voice
in what occurs in the county areas around our towns it.is with this in mind that we ask that you give the town of
Platteville's opposition to this expansion your serious consideration.
