Dear Mr. Schuett:
OF COUNSEL
ROBERT P. WELBORN
SPECIAL COUNSEL
JOHN S. COWAN
Via Facsimile & U.S. Mail
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a response for Union Pacific
Resources Company ("UPRC") with respect to the above -referenced application. I understand
that you intended to notify UPRC that the application had been filed because UPRC owns
minerals that underlie the property that is the subject of the application.
I understand from my review of the application and my discussion with you on January
13 that the purpose of the application is to obtain a permit from Weld County to construct a
radio communications tower on a parcel of land that is located in the NE/4NE/4NE4 in
Section 27 and that the property subject to the special use permit is less than one acre. I
understand further that the property is currently zoned agricultural and that the application will
not affect the current zoning. Based on this understanding, UPRC has no objection to the
application with respect to the mineral interests that it owns in the NE/4NE/4NE/4 of Section
27.
