COLORADO April 13, 1999 Larry and Marsha Bargas 313 Weld County Road 17 Brighton, CO 80601 Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bargas: The dog kennel located at 333 Weld County Road 17, is a permitted use (REC-10) under a resolution passed by the Board of County Commissioners on the 10th day of July, 1968. This permit allows for a small dog kennel operation to be located in the agricultural zone district. At the time the resolution was passed there were no restrictions regarding number of dogs allowed or parameters that control amounts of time that the dogs may be located outside the kennels. Weld County does not have any compliance issues with this property, at this time. However, should future issues arise, please feel free to contact us. County Commissioners Board meetings are held on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and the public is invited. THIS AREA IS ZONED AS A HOUSING DEVELOPMENT UNDER COUNTY ORDINANCE. AS SUCH, WE WANT THE DOG KENNEL TO BE MOVED. THERE ARE DAY SLEEPERS 1N THE NEIGHBORHOOD, AND THE OWNER MAKES NO EFFORT TO QUIET THE DOGS. THE OWNER DOES NOT PUT THE DOGS AWAY EARLY OR KEEP THEM LOCKED UP SO THAT THEY WILL BE QUIET. THIS HAS BECOME A BIG PROBLEM, AND THE UNDERSIGNED WOULD LIKE THIS PETITION TO SERVE AS NOTICE THAT WE WANT THE PROBLEM RESOLVED.
