This office represents the Henrylyn Irrigation District comprised of approximately 33,000 acres
in southern Weld County and northern Adams County.
Currently developments are being proposed along some of our irrigation system.
We expect that pursuant to the applicable subdivision regulations and zoning ordinances of your
county, you will consider input from the Henrylyn Irrigation District prior to approving any new
such developments.
Specifically, my client's concern is that all new developments draining into the Henrylyn
Irrigation District's system must install suitably engineered and constructed structures to assure
bypass of increased drainage and runoff through the Henrylyn Irrigation District system without
damage to said system.

Further, the Henrylyn Irrigation District is a quasi -municipal subdivision of the State of Colorado
with authority to assess and levy taxes on real property located within the boundaries of the
district pursuant to the provisions of Colorado Revised Statutes Section 3741-101, a seq. and
37-43-101, a seq.
Thus, the Henrylyn Irrigation District expects that in the future you will comply with the referral
and review requirements expressed at C.R.S. Section 30-28-136.
