RE: APPROVE CHANGE ORDER LETTER #2 WITH COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC SAFETY AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with Change Order Letter#2 between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Community Corrections Board, and the Department
of Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice, commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30,
1998, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said change order, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said change order, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Change Order Letter#2 between the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Weld County Community Corrections Board, and the Department of Public Safety, Division of
Criminal Justice, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said change order.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 4th day of March, A.D., 1998, nunc pro tunc July 1, 1997.

Dear Ms. Spangler:
Pursuant to paragraph 1.A.4 of the contract between the Department of Public Safety, Division
of Criminal Justice (DCJ), and the Board of Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Weld County Community Corrections Board, DCJ hereby notifies you that the maximum
amount payable from the State under Contract # 98000000075, covering the'period July 1,
1997 through June 30, 1998, is hereby changed. The maximum amount payable for
residential transition placements at a daily rate of $34.34 per offender is hereby increased by
$8,900 to a new total of $497,730. The maximum amount payable for residential diversion
placements at a daily rate of $34.34 per offender is hereby decreased by $82,700 to a new
total of $694,414. The maximum amount payable for diversion non-residential placements is
hereby decreased by $24,600 to a new total of $124,904. The maximum amount payable for
residential parole placements at a daily rate of $34.34 per offender is hereby decreased by
813,600 to a new total of $49,070. The maximum amount payable for residential transition
Roy Romer placements for specialized services at a daily rate of 850.52 per offender is hereby increased
GOVERNOR by 5155,500 to a new total of $985,291. The maximum amount payable for 3/4 house
Patrick C.Ahlstrom placements is hereby decreased by $4,641.75 to a new total of $26,303.25. Any additional
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR funds are for community correctional services and may not be used for administrative
Division of expenses. The per diem rates remain unchanged.

This amendment to the contract is intended to be effective February 18, 1998, but in no event shall
this amendment be deemed valid until it shall have been approved by the State Controller or his .
