RE: APPROVE QUIT CLAIM DEED, AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN, AND WAIVE
ANNEXATION IMPACT STATEMENT FOR ANNEXATION OF WELD COUNTY
ROADS 11 AND 20 - TOWN OF FREDERICK
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Quit Claim Deed from the County of
Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
on behalf of the Department of Public Works, to the Town of Frederick, with terms and
conditions being as stated in said Quit Claim Deed, and
WHEREAS, said deed is for portions of Weld County Roads 11 and 20 which were
previously annexed into the Town of Firestone and then deannexed by Firestone when it was
agreed by the Towns of Firestone and Frederick that it would be more appropriate to have
Frederick annex the roads and perform maintenance on said roads; therefore, the Board of
County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the Annexation Impact Statement pursuant
to the Municipal Annexation Act, since no further review is necessary on the part of County
staff, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said Quit Claim
Deed, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Quit Claim Deed between the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Department of Public Works, and Town of Frederick be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said Quit Claim Deed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Annexation Impact Statement for
annexation of Weld County Roads 11 and 20 to the Town of Frederick be, and hereby is,
waived.

RE: Quit Claim Deed to Portions of WCR 11 and WCR 20 Proposed for Annexation to the Town
of Frederick.
Dear Lee:
Attached are two copies of a proposed Quit Claim Deed for those portions of WCR 11 and WCR 20 that is
proposed to be annexed to the Town of Frederick. I have also taken the liberty of preparing a Resolution for the
Board of Commissioners to consider. This was patterned after a similar resolution used for the Quit Claim Deed for
a portion of WCR 3,granted to Erie in 1998. Enclosed is a copy of the annexation map we have prepared to
illustrate the portions of the roads that will be annexed as a result of the Commissioners' granting the Quit Claim
Deed. All of these documents are available for electronic transfer to you office, should you desire them.
The Commissioners' prompt attention to this matter will enable us proceed with the annexation in a
timely fashion. Therefore,your assistance is greatly appreciated.
