BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that in com-
pliance with Chapter 110, Article 1, Section 6, of the Colorado Revised Statutes 1953, that the Clerk of
the Board be and she is hereby authorized and directed to mail a copy of the second quarter audit for 1956,
as compiled by Ralph L. McKee, Registered Accountant, September 11, 1956, to the Auditor of State.

APPOINTING DEAN C. ROYER TRUSTEE
OF WELD COUNTY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
FOR WELD COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL:
WHEREAS, by resolution, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, did on
February 3, 1955, appoint Clara E. Allnutt of Greeley, Colorado, as one of the Trustees of the Board of
Trustees for Weld County General Hospital to hold office until the second Tuesday of January, A. D. 1960,
and

WHEREAS, Clara E. Allnutt has submitted her resignation and her resignation has been accepted
by the Board of County Commissioners, and
•
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees for Weld County General Hospital shall consist of seven members
as provided by law and a vacancy now exists, and
WHEREAS, the present Trustees of the Board are able and active and the Commissioners have full
faith and confidence in the ability and integrity of Dean C. Royer, Greeley, Colorado, and he is willing to
serve on said Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
that Dean C. Royer, Greeley, Colorado, be and he is hereby appointed as a Trustee of the Board of Trustees
for Weld County General Hospital to fill the unexpired term of Clara E. Allnutt, to hold office until the
second Tuesday of January, A. D. , 1960.

The motion was seconded by Commissioner Andersen and the

1O SIGN EXTENSION RIDER WITH
UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD CO:
WHEREAS, the UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY has tendered to the COUNTY OF WELD, STATE OF COLO-
RADO, an agreement extending to and including September 20, 1957, the term of that certain lease dated NO-
VEMBER, 18, 1953, as extended, whereby the Railroad Company leased to the County of Weld, State of Colorado,
a portion of its right of way at Ault, Colorado, for highway material yard, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of COUNTY OF WELD, COLORADO, has said proposed agree-
ment before it and has given it careful review and consideration, and
WHEREAS, it is considered that the best interests of said County of WELD, COLORADO will be sub-
served by the acceptance of said agreement:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY, COLORADO:
That the terms of the agreement submitted by the Union Pacific Railroad Company, as aforesaid be,
and the same are hereby, accepted in behalf of COUNTY OF WELD, STATE OF COLORADO,
That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of said County is hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of said County, and that the County Clerk is
hereby authorized and directed at attest said agreement and to attach to each duplicate original of said
agreement a certified copy of this resolution.

FUNDS FOR THE YEAR 1956:
Commissioner Shultz offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:
WHEREAS, the proposed budget for Road and Bridge purposes, as submitted to and approved by the
Colorado Tax Commission for the year 1956 was estimated as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
that the Road and Bridge Fund be and hereby is distributed to the three Commissioner Districts, Shops,
Office, and State & Federal Aid as follows: an amount of $ 89,778.84, being the amount of collections in
1955 in excess in 1955 in excess of the amount estimated, is divided equally among the three Districts;
the amount remaining or $ 943,121.53 shall be divided 34 2/3% to District 1, 32% to District 2, and 33 1/3%
to District 3; the amount of $ 11,650.00 to be received from Colorado Department of Highways during 1956
for County Maintenance of 42.8 miles of State Secondary Roads in Weld County, Colorado, this amount to be
distributed as to the number of miles of roads maintained within definite periods of time in the two dis-
tricts for which the County is maintaining roads for the State of Colorado.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any unexpended balance remaining to the credit of any District De-
camber 31, 1956, be and hereby is appropriated to said District for the year, 1957.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that each District be and the same is hereby limited to the expenditure
of moneys from said Road and Bridge Fund to the extent of the amount budgeted for each separate District as
above set forth and after the expenditures of the sums so budgeted to any District, no further warrants
will be drawn on said Fund for expenditures in any District, the funds of which have been exhausted; ex-
cept when the available funds of any District shall have been increased through earnings from project work,
equipment or machinery rental or labor performed by that certain District, or in emergencies or contingen-
cies entailing the expenditure of ten percent ( 10%) or more, of the total budgeted amount available for the
District for the year when authorized be unanimous action of the members of this Board,by written adopted
Resolution, before any such expenditures are made.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, should the revenue from the gasoline and motor vehicle fees for the
year 1956 and other sources exceed the amount estimated to be received from miscellaneous sources, the amount
of the excess of the money so estimated, shall be equally divided among the three Commissioner Districts of
the County in 1957.

IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION
TO SIGN EXTENSION RIDER WITH
UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY: f_
WHEREAS, the UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY, has tendered to the COUNTY OF WELD, State of Colorado,
an agreement extending to and including November 30, 1957, the term of that certain lease dated December 1,
1948, as extended, whereby the Railroad Company leased to the County of Weld, State of Colorado, a portion of
its right of way at Ault, Weld County, Colorado, for storage and mixing of road repair material, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado has said proposed agreement be-
fore it and has given it careful review and consideration;
WHEREAS, it is considered that the best interests of said County of Weld, State of Colorado will be
subserved by the acceptance of said agreement:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY, COLORADO.
That the terms of the agreement submitted by the Union Pacific Railroad Company as aforesaid be,
and the same are hereby, accepted in behalf of Weld County, Colorado.
That the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of said County is hereby authorized, em-
powered and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of said County, and that the County Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to attest said agreement and to attach to each duplicate original of said agreement a
certified copy of this resolution.

WHEREAS, The Extension Service of Colorado A & M College has presented this Board with an agree-
ment or working budget for the year commencing January 1, 1957 and ending December 31, 1956, and
WHEREAS, the Board is desirous of entering into the agreement as submitted by said Extension
Service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
that the Chairman of the Board be and he is hereby authorized to sign agreement with Extension Service of
Colorado A & M College, according to the terms and conditions set forth in said agreement, a copy of which
is hereto attached and made a part of this resolution.

MONEY BETWEEN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL
FUND AND COUNTY ROAD FUND:
WHEREAS, Paul N. Lodwick, Superintendent of Public Schools, Weld County, Colorado, has requested
an apportionate share of the U. S. Mineral Lease Money, for the county public school fund, and

WHEREAS, under Bill Number 442, 1953 Session Laws, Chapter 168, Section 62, Page 437, the Board
of County Commissioners shall apportion such U. S. Mineral Lease money received by them between the county
public school fund and the county road fund, provided that not more than seventy-five percent of said money
shall be apportioned to either of said funds, and
WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be to the best interests of said county to apportionate said
money.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
that they hereby apportion fifty percent of the U. S. Mineral Lease money received by them to the county
public school fund, and fifty percent of the Mineral Lease money received by them to the county road fund.

AUTHORIZING COUNTY TREASURER
TO INVEST FUNDS: TRUST 4877:
WHEREAS, it is provided by Chapter 176, Section 216-1, 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated and acts
amendatory thereto (1935 Colorado Revised Statutes, Chapter 83, Section 1-1) that the Board of County
Commissioners, by written resolution, may authorize the County Treasurer to invest all or a part of the
funds and moneys coming into his possession by virtue of his office as County Treasurer, in certain securi-
ties therein designated, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado has funds on hand in its County General Fund in the custody of
the County Treasurer of said County, and
WHEREAS, said County is authorized by 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated, Chapter 176, Sec 126-1,
and Chapter 83, Section 1-1 of the Colorado Revised Statutes 1953, from time to time to invest such funds
as are not then needed in the conduct of its affairs, in the securities therein enumerated, and
WHEREAS, of said funds in the hands of said Treasurer as aforesaid the sum of $200,000.00 is
not now needed in the conduct of the affairs of said County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Charles 0. Bursiel as County Treasurer of Weld County, Colo-
rado, a part of said funds in his hands as said County Treasurer, by the purchase of such securities in the
amount and in the price as follows, to-wit:
UNITED STATES TREASURY BILL dated NOVEMBER 1, 1956
and maturing JANUARY 31, 1957 in the amount of
$ 198,540.00. Maturing Value $ 200,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the United States Treasury Bill herein designated and authorized to
be purchased shall immediately be delivered to the Trust Department of THE COLORADO NATIONAL BANK OF DENVER,
COLORADO, for safekeeping under Trust 4877 for Charles 0. Bursiel, County Treasurer of Weld County, Colorado.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said securities, the purchase and deposit of which are hereby author-
ized as aforesaid, shall be immediately withdrawn by said Treasurer cashed and returned to the proper County
Funds of said County Funds of said County immediately whenever said funds or some part thereof are needed in

TO SELL OBSOLETE MATERIALS
AT PUBLIC AUCTION ON
DECEMBER 5, 1956 at 1 P.M.:
Commissioner ELMER L. SHULTZ offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, over the period of more than 40 years last past a large quantity of worn out, broken or
obsolete material has accumulated in the various buildings and storage spaces of Weld County, particularly
in the Nursing Home, Island Grove Hospital and in the attic of the Court House, which material consists m
mostly of broken chairs, tables, cabinets, old heaters and obsolete and broken hospital equipment, worth-
less light fixtures, scrap iron and used plumbing material, obsolete bed pans and sanitary or toilet equip-
ment, and
WHEREAS, such material cannot be used by Weld County but takes up a lot of much needed space and
has to be moved and removed, and is now concentrated at the old Island Grove Hospital, and
WHEREAS, none of such accumulated material can be utilized by Weld County, and in the hands of
the County is nothing more or less than junk and waste material, but some pieces, parts or items thereof may
have a certain salvage or junk value to some one if offered for sale to the public.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that all of such material, a list of that part of which can be de-
scribed, marked Exhibit "A", is hereto attached and made a part hereof, be sold at public auction at Island
Grove Park for such prices as may be obtained therefor agter advertisement in two issues of The Greeley
Tribune; That Sam King be engaged to auction off and sell such material; That such parts of such material
as remain unsold and are determined by said auctioneer as unsalable waste be burned or otherwise disposed of.
Dated at Greeley, Colorado, this 30th day of October, A. D. 1956.
Said motion was duly seconded and on roll call the foregoing Resolution was adopted.

WHEREAS, it is provided by Chapter 176, Section 126-1, 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated and acts
amendatory thereto (1953 Colorado Revised Statutes, Chapter 83, Section 1-1) That the Board of County Comm
missioners, by written resolution, may authorize the County Treasurer to invest all or a part of the funds
and moneys coming into his possession by virtue of his office as County Treasurer, in certain securities
therein designated, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado has funds on hand in its County General Fund in the custody of the
County Treasurer of said County, and
WHEREAS, said County is authorized by 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated, Chapter 176, Sec 126-1,
and Chapter 83, Section 1-1 of the Colorado Revised Statutes 1953, from time to time to invest funds as are not
then needed in the conduct of its affairs, in the securities therein enumerated, and
WHEREAS, of said funds in the hands of said Treasurer as aforesaid the sum of $200,000.00 is not
now needed in the conduct of the affairs of said County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that CHARLES 0. BURSIEL as County Treasurer of Weld County, Colo-
rado, a part of said funds in his hands as said County Treasurer, by the purchase of such securities in the
amount and in the price as follows, to-wit:
UNITED STATES TREASURY BILL dated November 8, 1956
and maturing February 7, 1957 in the amount of
$ 198,562.00. Maturing Value $ 200,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the United States Treasury Bill herein designated and authorized
to be purchased shall immediatelybe delivered to the Trust Department of THE COLORADO NATIONAL BANK OF DENVER,
COLORADO, for safekeeping under Trust # 4877 for CHARLES 0. BURSIEL, County Treasurer of Weld County, Colo-
rado.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said securities, the purchase and deposit of which are hereby auth-
orized as aforesaid, shall be immediately withdrawn by said Treasurer cashed and returned to the proper County
Funds of said County immediately whenever said funds or some part thereof are needed in the conduct of the

by the Security First National Bank of Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, on or about September 26, 1956,
she having received the full amount therefor of $92.00, and
WHEREAS, Lola V. Sanchez was informed that the Warrant therefor endorsed to the above mentioned
Security First National Bank of Los Angeles, has been by said Bank lost or destroyed and has not been en-
dorsed, transferred or negotiated, and

WHEREAS, satisfactory affidavits and bonds necessary to indemnify and hold Weld County harmless
on account of alleged loss of original warrant have been filed in the office of the Board of County Com-

that the Clerk to the Board be and she is hereby authorized and directed to cause a duplicate warrant to

WHEREAS, E. P. LOTT, of Weld County, Colorado, has presented to the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County his application for a county retail license for sale of 3.2% beer only, and the said applicant,
having paid to the County Treasurer of Weld County the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) therefore, and having
produced a state retail license for sale of 3.2% beer only, outside the corporate limits of any town or city
in the County of Weld, at the location described as follows:

And the County Commissioners, having examined the said application and the other qualifications of
the applicant do hereby grant license Number 620 to said applicant to sell 3.296 beer only ar retail, at said

by the County Clerk and Recorder of Weld County, good for one year from the date of issue unless revoked, ac-
cording to law, provided, however, that said license shall be issued upon the express condition and agreement
that the place where licensee is authorized to sell beer under said license will be conducted in strict con-
formity to all laws of the State of Colorado and rules and regulations relating thereto heretofore passed by

AUTHORIZING COUNTY TREASURER
TO INVEST FUNDS: TRUST 4877:
WHEREAS, it is provided by Chapter 176, Section 126-1, 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated and acts
amendatory thereto (1953 Colorado Revised Statutes, Chapter 83, Section 1-1) that the Board of County
Commissioners, by written resolution, may authorize the County Treasurer to invest all or a part of the funds
and moneys corning into his possession by virtue of his office as County Treasurer, in certain securities
therein designated, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado has funds on hand in its County General Fund in the custody of the
County Treasurer of said County, and
WHEREAS, said County is authorized by 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated, Chapter 176, Sec 126-1,
and Chapter 83, Section 1-1 of the Colorado Revised Statutes 1953, from time to time to invest such funds as
are not then needed in the conduct of its affairs, in the securities therein enumerated, and
WHEREAS, of said funds in the hands of said Treasurer as aforesaid the sum of $ 200,000.00 is not
now needed in the conduct of the affairs of said County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that CHARLES 0. BURSIEL as County Treasurer of Weld County, Colo-
rado, be and is hereby authorized to invest for the benefit of Weld County, Colorado, a part of said funds
in his hands as said County Treasurer, by the purchase of such securities in the amount and in the price as

This Agreement, made the 12th day of November in the year of Nineteen Hundred and 56, by and between Weld
County, Greeley, Colorado, hereinafter called the Lessee, and McCOY COMPANY, hereinafter call the Lessor,
WITNESSETH, that the Lessee and the Lessor for the consideration hereinafter named agree as follows:
1. Under the General Conditions of Lease printed on the reverse side of this sheet, the Lessor
hereby leases to the Lessee the following described equipment in good operating condition, to be used at or
near Weld County, State of Colorado, for approximate period of Three (3) Months starting November 12, 1956;

2. It is understood and agreed that Lessee shall have the option to extend the within lease at the
same monthly rental and upon the same terms and conditions as provided for in this lease for an additional
period of --- months. Said option to extend to be exercised by Lessee in the manner prescribed in Paragraph
4 hereof on or before the 15th day of the month following the date of termination of the within lease or
renewal thereof.
3. It is understood and agreed that Lessee shall have the option at any time during the term of this
lease, or any extension or extensions thereof, to purchase said equipment for $17,742.27 and Lessee shall be
allowed credit against said purchase price of an amount equal to 100% per cent of the rentals paid by Lessee
during the term hereof or any extension or extensions thereof; and if this lease is in effect an extension of
an original lease then the term "rentals paid" shall include rentals paid under the original lease as well as
this extension. Said option to be exercised by Lessee in the maner prescribed in Paragraph 4 hereof.
4. Lessee shall exercise the options provided for herein in Paragraphs 2 and 3 by action of the County
Board, in regular meeting assembled, adopting a Resolution exercising said options and having a notice there-
of delivered to Lessor by written document containing a copy of said Resolution certified to be the County
Clerk of said Weld County Board certifying that the above-mentioned Resolution was duly adopted by a majority
of said County Board and further certifying that the budget adopted by the County Board of Weld County for
the current fiscal year contained an appropriation for the payment of such monthly rentals or purchase price,
as the case may be and that a certified copy of said Resolution was filed with him and duly recorded in the
Official Records of County Board of Weld County, as provided by Law.

In compliance with an act of law entitled, "An act to require the affairs of the several
Counties of the State to be conducted from the revenue derived from taxation and prevent other expenses of
any County from exceeding its revenue", and in accordance with local government law of the Session Laws of 1933,
Chapter 125, Section lo, "No officer, department head, board, commission or other spending bodies or agency
shall, during the fiscal year, expend or incur any liability or enter into any contract which, by its terms,
involves the expenditure of money for any of the purposes, for which provision is made in the appropriation
ordinance for such officer, department, board, commission or other spending agency, any contract, verbal or
written, made in violation of this Section, shall be null and void as to the local government and no moneys
belonging thereto shall be paid thereon".

Fire Protection Districts, Water Districts, Sanitation Districts and Water Conservancy Districts in Weld County,
Colorado, named on the attached Certification of Levies have certified to this Board the amounts necessary to
pay for maintaining, operating and meeting expenses and indebtedness for the year 1957 for each of said School
Districts, Towns and Cities, Fire Protection Districts, Water Districts, Sanitation Districts and Water Conserv-
ancy Districts respectively, as shown on the tabulated Certification of Levies hereto attached, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, is now in possession of the
necessary information and authority, it has ordered and does hereby order that there shall be levies on each
dollar of valuation in the said respective Schools Districts, Towns and Cities, Fire Protection District, Water
Districts, Sanitation Districts and Water Conservancy Districts, a tax for the maintenance and operation there-

WHEREAS, it has been certified to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado
by the Directors of the HENRYLYN IRRIGATION District that the sum of $ 52,588.99 is required to meet the
maintenance, operating and current expenses for the fiscal year of 1957, and
WHEREAS, the return from the Assessor of Weld County shows the total assessment and valuation
for the purposes of said District of the real estate included in the District, exclusive of improvements and
assessable for the purposes of said District is the sum of $ 438,681.20, which is at the rate of $ 10.00 per
acre of land in said County subject to assessment for the purpose of said District in 1956, to-wit 32,868.12
acres.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado
that a levy of $ 1.60 per acre, which amount includes the 15% required by law for delinquents, on the lands
of the District payable in the year of 1957, will provide sufficient funds for the operation of the District

meet the maintenance, operating and current expenses of the RIVERSIDE IRRIGATION DISTRICT for the fiscal year
commencing January 1, 1957, as estimated by the Board of Directors of said District, is hereby fixed at $ .75
per acre of land assessed in 1956 for the purposes of said District, including the 15% which the Board of
County Commissioners is required to add , in making a levy for the above mentioned amount, and
WHEREAS, the return from the Assessor of Weld County shows that total assessment and valuation
for the purposes of said District, exclusive of the improvements and assessable for the purposed of said Dis-
trict to be $ 4,200.00 which is at the rate of $10.00 for each acre of land in said County subject to assess-

GRANTING LIQUOR LICENSE TO

WHEREAS, Gerald I. Collicott and Martin V. Hatler, whose address is Carr, Colorado and doing
business as the Prairie Inn, 900' south of the Colo-Wyo line on Highway 85, located in Sec 21, T 12 N, R 66W.,
Weld County, Colorado, have filed their application for a liquor license to sell malt, vinous and spirituous
liquors by the drink only at the above location, and
WHEREAS, they have exhibited a State License therefor, issued by the Secretary of State, to-
gether with receipt to-wit: for the payment of Federal Taxes thereon, and
WHEREAS, they have now tendered with said written application for County License, the fee of
Three Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($325.00) as provided by law for the issuance of such County License, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado as the proper licensing
authority under and for the County of Weld, State of Colorado, out-side of cities and town, has investigated
the character of the applicant and found no remonstrances or objections on file against the granting of
such license and found no record against them or either of them.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
that the application of the said Gerald I. Collicott and Martin V. Hatler for a liquor license to sell malt,
vinous and spitituous liquors by the drink only, be and the same is hereby granted as by law directed and
in the manner provided by law.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the fol-

WHEREAS, The Greeley Country Club, a non-profit corporation existing under the laws of the
State of Colorado, has filed its written application for County Club License to sell malt, vinous and
spirituous liquors at its club house located in the Northwest Quarter of. Section 11, Township 5 North,
Range 66 West, in Weld County, Colorado, under the provisions of 75-2-23 Colorado Revised Statutes, 1953,
and
WHEREAS, it has exhibited state license therefore issued by the Secretary of State of Colorado,
together with receipt, to-wit; for the payment of federat taxes thereon, and
WHEREAS, it has now tendered with said written application of County License, the fee of One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) as provided by law for issuance of such County License, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, as the proper licensing
authority under and for the County of Weld, State of Colorado, outside of towns and cities, has investigated
the character of the applicant, its officers and directors, and found no remonstrances or objects on file
aagainst the granting of such license, and found no record against it or them.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the application of the Said Greeley Country Club for a
County Club License under the Colorado Liquor Code of 1935 be and the same is hereby granted as by law
directed and in the manner provided by law.

TO INVEST FUNDS: TRUST 6393:
WHEREAS, it is provided by Chapter 176, Section 126-1, 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated and
acts amendatory thereto (1953 Colorado Revised Statutes, Chapter 83, Section 1-1) that the Board of County
Commissioners, by written resolution,may authorize the County Treasurer to invest all or a part of the funds
and moneys coming into his possession by virtue of his office as County Treasurer, in certain securities
therein designated, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado has funds on hand in its County General Fund in the custody of
the County Treasurer of said County, and
WHEREAS, said County is authorized by 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated, Chapter 176, Sec 126-1,
and Chapter 83, Section 1-1 of the Colorado Revised Statutes 1953, from time to time to invest such funds
as are not then needed in the conduct of its affairs, in the securities therein enumerated, and
WHEREAS, of said funds in the hands of said Treasurer as aforesaid the sum of $19,831.60 is
not now needed in the conduct of the affairs of said County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that CHARLES 0. BURSIEL as County Treasurer of Weld County,
Colorado, be and is hereby authorized to invest for the benefit of Weld County, Colorado, a part of said
funds in his hands as said County Treasurer, by the purchase of such securities in the amount and in the
price as follows, to-wit:
UNITED STATES TREASURY BILL dated December 20, 1956
and maturing January 21, 1957, in the amount of
$19,831.60. Maturing Value $ 20,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the United States Treasury Bill herein designated and authorized
to be purchased shall immediately be delivered to the Trust Department of THE COLORADO NATIONAL BANK CF
DENVER, COLORADO, for safekeeping under Trust 6393 for CHARLES 0. BURSIEL, County Treasurer of Weld County,
Colorado.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said securities, the purchase and deposit of which are hereby author-

Dear Governor Johnson:
I am now serving as County Commissioner of Weld County, Colorado. My current term expires
on January 8, 1957. At the last general election I was elected a Representative from Weld County to the
State Legislature for the term beginning January 2, 1957. I therefore submit my resignation as County
Commissioner of Weld County to be effective immediately and request that you accept the same forthwith.
