HomeMy WebLinkAbout960633.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ESTABLISH DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S SALARY FOR TERM OF 1997 THROUGH 2000 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Section 20-1-301, CRS, as amended, specifies that commencing January 1, 1997, in every judicial district, the District Attorney shall receive as compensation for his services the sum of not less than $67,000.00 per annum. Any amount in excess of$67,000.00 shall be set by the Board of County Commissioners of the county or counties comprising the judicial district, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, desires to set the compensation of the District Attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial District in Weld County in an amount above the existing minimum of$67,000.00 per annum, beginning with the 1997 through 2000 term. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that under the authority of Section 20-1-301, CRS, as amended, the per annum salary for the District Attorney serving the Nineteenth Judicial District located in Weld County, shall be$85,000.00 per annum beginning January 1, 1997,through December 31, 1998, and$90,000.00 per annum beginning January 1, 1999, through December 31, 2000. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 17th day of April, A.D., 1996.
