RE: APPROVE NOTIFICATION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARD AND AUTHORIZE
CHAIR TO SIGN -WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Notification of Financial Assistance
Award between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and the Weld
County Department of Human Services, commencing October 1, 1998, and ending
November 30, 1999, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said award, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said award, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Notification of Financial
Assistance Award between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and
the Weld County Department of Human Services be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said award.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 30th day of June, A.D., 1999, nunc pro tunc October 1, 1998.

RE: Revision to the Notification of Financial As tance'ward
Between the Weld County Department of Social Services
and Weld County Department of Human Services —
Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program
Enclosed for Board approval is a revision to the Notification of Financial Assistance
Award under the Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program between the Weld County
Department of Social Services and the Weld County Department of Human Services.
The Families, Youth, and Children Commission has reviewed this action and is
recommending Board approval.
The purpose of the revision is to increase funding to the project from $50,000 to $55,000
for a period ending September 30, 1999. All other major provision of the award remains
the same. The Weld County Department of Social Services will not reapply for the
Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program grant beginning October 1, 1999.
