RE: CONSIDER MEMBERSHIP IN DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT STUDY
COORDINATION GROUP AND CONTRIBUTION OF CAPITAL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, numerous complaints have been received regarding the high noise level at
Denver International Airport, and
WHEREAS, Weld County has been invited to participate in the Denver International
Airport Coordination Study Group, for the purpose of identifying new, acceptable changes in
operations or flight routing changes that would minimize noise for the entire area, and
WHEREAS, the fee for participation in said study group shall be $5,000, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, in order to ensure a viable solution to
the high noise level at Denver International Airport, deems it advisable to participate in the
Denver International Airport Study Coordination Group.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that participation in the Denver International Airport Study Coordination
Group be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of Finance and
Administration be, and hereby is, authorized to pay Weld County's fee of $5,000.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 21st day of July, A.D., 1997.
