RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES ON WELD COUNTY
ROAD 30 AT WELD COUNTY ROAD 43
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the
Board that "Stop" and "Stop Ahead" signs be removed from Weld County Road 43, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the
Board that "Stop" and "Stop Ahead" signs be installed on Weld County Road 30 at Weld County
Road 43, to ensure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic control devices are necessary for
the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of Public Works be, and hereby is, directed to
remove "Stop" and "Stop Ahead" signs from Weld County Road 43, and install signs on Weld
County Road 30 at Weld County Road 43, for the safety of the general public, and said signs
shall conform to the State Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 24th day of November, A.D., 1997.

SUBJECT: Signing at WCR 43 and WCR 30
Due to the recent paving of WCR 43, the Engineering Department requests the Board's consideration
to change the location of the current stop and stop ahead signs at the intersection of WCR 30 and
WCR 43.
The paving of WCR 43 established it as a "through" road. The change includes the removal of the
southbound stop and stop ahead signs from the current location to the proposed location on WCR
30 to stop westbound traffic. The attached diagram shows the proposed change.
