RE: APPROVE ELECTION BY ACCLAMATION OF COMMISSIONER GEORGE BAXTER
AS TEMPORARY CHAIR FOR AUGUST 23, 1999, BOARD MEETING
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Chair Dale Hall, and Chair Pro-Tem Barbara Kirkmeyer will both be absent
from the regularly scheduled board meeting on August 23, 1999, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to elect Commissioner George Baxter as the
Temporary Chair for the August 23, 1999, board meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Commissioner George Baxter be, and hereby is, elected by
acclamation as Temporary Chair for the August 23, 1999, board meeting.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 18th day of August, A.D., 1999.
