RE: TO ALLOW CITIZENS TO REVIEW AND COMMENT ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE
COUNTY OF WELD IN CARRYING OUT THE EAST EATON SEWER SYSTEM
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN EATON, COLORADO, WHICH WAS FINANCED WITH
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
A public hearing was conducted on June 23, 1999, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chair
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner M. J. Geile
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated May 27, 1999, and duly published June 2, 1999, in
the Fort Lupton Press, a public hearing was conducted to allow citizens to review and comment on
the performance of the County of Weld in carrying out the East Eaton Sewer System Improvement
Project in Eaton, Colorado, which was financed with Community Development Block Grant funds
Bruce Barker, County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Don Warden, Director of Finance
and Administration, stated this project was funded through Federal Housing and Colorado State
Grants to provide sewer services to 43 homes located outside the incorporated boundary of the
Town of Eaton. He stated this area has had water problems in the past which were corrected with
a Housing Authority Grant which provided a water facility; however, there was continued concern
regarding the density of the community which does not allow adequate space for septic systems.
Mr. Warden stated the project has been completed and the purpose of this hearing is to allow for
public comment concerning how well the job was completed and there is no action required of the
Board. There was no public testimony given.

The County of Weld will conduct a public hearing at 9:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 23,
1999, in the Chambers of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, Weld
County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, First Floor, Greeley, Colorado. The purpose of the
hearing is to allow citizens to review and comment on the performance of the County of Weld in
carrying out the East Eaton Sewer System Improvement Project in Eaton, Colorado, which was
financed with federal Community Development Block Grant funds provided by the State of
Colorado.
Written comments are also welcome and must be received by June 23, 1999, in the office
of the Clerk to the Board, 915 10th Street, P.O. Box 758, Greeley, Colorado 80632. Information
and records regarding the above described project are available at the office of the Clerk to the
Board of County Commissioners, located in the Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street,
Third Floor. Greeley, Colorado, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Advance notice is
requested.
