HomeMy WebLinkAbout580105.tiff SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION TO BE HELD ON DECEMBER 16, 1958, OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY, TO-WIT: The North 10 feet of Lot 7 and all of Lot 8, in Block 4, Cranford, City of Greeley, except the West 42 feet of the North 10 feet of said Lot 7, together with all improvements thereon: WHEREAS, on June 21, 1946 Weld County purchased the North 10 feet of Lot 7 and all of Lot 8, in Block 4, Cranford, City of Greeley, except the West 42 feet of said Lot 8 and the West 42 feet of the North 10 feet of said Lot 7, together with all improvements thereon, to be used as a nurses home, and- WHEREAS, said property is no longer needed for said purpose and said County has no need for said property, and WHEREAS, it is for the best interest of said County and of its inhabitants that said property be sold, and WHEREAS, in order that all persons may have equal opportunity to purchase if they so desire,and WHEREAS, this Roard believes that a better price can be obtained by sale at public auction. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that said property be sold to the highest and best bidder for cash, at public auction on December 16, 1958,and that Weld County Realty be employed to advertise and sell said property at the regular commission, upon the following terms; Purchaser shall deposit 10% in cash at the time of sale and the balance shall be paid in cash on or before December 31, 1958. Weld County will furnish an abstract of title to said property showing title in said County subject to exceptions and reservations in instruments of record and to existing easements and rights-of-way, if any. Weld County reserves the right, within forty-eight hours to reject any and all bids. If title shall be found defective Weld County shall have a reasonable time within which to correct any defects in title, if it so elects. If Weld County shall not elect to perfect said title, said down payment shall be refunded and both parties shall be released. If purchaser shall fail to complete his payment, Weld County shall retain said 10% deposit as liquidated damages.
