HomeMy WebLinkAbout992405.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WELD COUNTY, COLORADO OCTOBER 11, 1999 TAPE #99-31 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, October 11, 1999, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chair Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem Commissioner George E. I3axter Commissioner M. J. Geile Commissioner Glenn Vaacl Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the minutes of the Board of County Commissioners meeting of October 6, 1999, as printed. Commissioner Baxter seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. CERTIFICATION OF HEARINGS: Commissioner Geile moved to approve the Certification of Hearings conducted on October 6, 1999, as follows: 1) Change of Zone#524 from A(Agricultural) Zone District to PUD(Planned Unit Development)for 353 lots with Residential Zone Uses,Western Dairymen Cooperative, Inc., % Clay Carlson. Commissioner Kirkmeyer seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. ADDITIONS TO AGENDA: There were no additions to the agenda. CONSENT AGENDA: Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the consent agenda as printed. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. PUBLIC INPUT: There was no public input. WARRANTS: Donald Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the following warrants for approval by the Board: All Funds $328,939.50 Commissioner Kirkmeyer rnoved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. 992405 7� i /I 4 A—P BC0016 NEW BUSINESS: CONSIDER AGREEMENT FOR WELD YOUTH CONSERVATION CORPS, AMERICORPS PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN: Walt Speckman, Director of Human Services, stated this is an on-going agreement in cooperation with Larimer County. Commissioner Baxter moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Kirkmeyer, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER ACCEPTANCE OF ROAD PETITION FOR VACATION OF A PORTION OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 84 AND REFER TO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS: Bruce Barker, County Attorney, stated this is the formal acceptance of the petition and it needs to be referred to the Department of Public Works for further review. Commissioner Baxter moved to accept and refer said petition to the Department of Public Works. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. CONSIDER AGREEMENT FOR ACCESS TO AND INSTALLATION OF A STUDY LEACH FIELD AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - BITTERSWEET FARMS, INC.: Commissioner Kirkmeyer stated this agreement is part of the Solid Waste Program in which Weld County received a grant from the Waste Tire Committee to use shredded tires in leach fields and test the effectiveness. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Baxter, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER ITEMIZING LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2000: Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve said holidays for the calendar year 2000. Seconded by Commissioner Geile, the motion carried unanimously. RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES: The resolutions were presented and signed as listed on the consent agenda. No Ordinances were approved. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
