S 0053(4),, TO CONSIST OF IMPROVEMENTS ON STATE HIGHWAY NUMBER 60, EXTENDING
APPROXIMATELY 1.154 MILES FROM ABOUT-1.0 MILES EAST OF MILLIKEN - EASTERLY
AND SOUTHERLY. '
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County
Colorado, that they hereby approve a certain agreement with the State Highway
Commission of Colorado, a public corporation, for the use and benefit of the
Department of Highways of the State of Colorado, dated September 19, 1958,
whereby the County has reviewed and approved the, Geometic Standards designated
— to govern the_construction of a Federal Aid Secondary Project to consist of
improvements on State Highway Number 60, approximately 1.154 miles long,.
extending from about 1.0 mile east of Milliken - Easterly and Southerly, as
per terms of said agreement on-behalf of Weld County by signatures of the
Board, as per attached Agreement and made a part th' ' es.lution.

COOPERATIVE AGREE-rENT

THIS AGREji2ENT entered into this 19th day of September 19 581
by and between the bounty of Weld , party of the first part,
and TIE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF COLORADO, a public corporation, for the use and
benefit of the DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS of the STATE OF COLORADO, party of the second
part, NITNGSSETH that ,
WHEREAS, the Department has. constructed, or proposes to construct, or
provide for the construction -of, a project kno*n as Project S 0053(4)
approximately 1.154 miles long, extending ieN*10 ix tram

WHEREAS, the .said,'State- Highway 'is part of the Federal Aid Secondary System,
NOW, -Ti iEFORE, in accordance with the Federal Aid Act-of 1950, the Parties
have jointly reviewed the Geometric Standards governing the type of construction for
said Project and have, agreed as follows:
That the 19 57 Annual Average Traffic Volume, as determined from actual
vehicular count, by! the'P'Planning and Research Division of the Department -is found
to be 800 vehicles per day. Therefore, in accordance with approved and •
established practices; the traffic volume twenty years hence is estimated to be
1680 vehicles per day. Consequently, the type of construction shall be that
designated as Type ' B of the Geometric Standards dated August 1, 1952 more
fully described as follows:
In the ultimate construe- pn the surface shall consist of Plant Mixed
Asphalt Pavement ) 24 feet wide, on a roadway 44 "1-/
feet wide. .The maximum grade shall be 1.12 percent and the curvature shall
not exceed 6 degrees -and - 0 minutes. The right of ways shall .

- have a design load of H-20 S-16 . . Those structures having a length less than
sixty (60) feet shall have a clear roadway width, between curbs or wheelguards 'of
30 feet, and those having a length of sixty (60) feet and over shall
have a clear roadway width of 30 feet. The funds allocated in the
1958-59 Department of Highways Budget is for the first " phase of the
stage construction,' which is specified as Grading ana structures . - - only.
This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the -benefit of the
Successors and assigns of the Parties thereto.
- This Agreement,is executed with reference to the signatories on behalf of
the County by virtue of ,a resolution passed at the meeting of the Board of County
Commissioners held on' Friday. September 19. 1958' , a certified copy of
which is attached hereto.
