RE: RECOMMEND APPOINTMENTS TO CHIEF JUDGE OF THE 19TH JUDICIAL
DISTRICT FOR JUVENILE SERVICES PLANNING COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 19-2-1602.7 of House Bill 93-134 and by Resolution
dated July 7, 1993, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, together
with the Chief Judge of the Judicial District, agreed to create the Local Juvenile Services
Planning Committee, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Mike Guthrie be appointed to said
committee, to replace Russell Pugh as the municipal government/courts representative; that
Paul Cooper be appointed to replace Dennis Gonzales as the Division of Youth Services
representative; and that Roger Piwowarski be appointed as an additional member representing
south county, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to recommend to the Chief Judge of the 19th
Judicial District that Mike Guthrie, Paul Cooper, and Roger Piwowarski be appointed to said
committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Mike Guthrie, Paul Cooper, and Roger Piwowarski be, and hereby
are, recommended to the Chief Judge of the 19th Judicial District for appointment to the Local
Juvenile Services Planning Committee.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 22nd day of January, A.D., 1997.
