RE: APPROVE REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF CONTRACT EIAF #3131 FOR WELD
COUNTY COMMUNICATION PROJECT WITH COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF
LOCAL AFFAIRS AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #951919 dated September 11, 1995, the Board did approve
a Contract for the Energy Impact Grant with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs,
concerning the Weld County Communications Project, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Request for Extension of Contract
EIAF #3131, between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, and the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, to
September 30, 1997, with terms and conditions being as stated in said request, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said request, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Request for Extension of Contract EIAF #3131, between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, and the Colorado Department of Local Affairs be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said request.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 10th day of February, A.D., 1997.

RE: EIAF #3131- Weld County Communication Project
Dear Mr. Warden:
Your request for an extension for the above contract is approved. The project must now be
completed on or before September 30, 1997.
Pursuant to Paragraph "11. Changes" on page 3 of 6 pages of your contract, all other provisions
of the Original Contract remain in effect except for this extension.
To acknowledge your confirmation of this time extension, please sign in the space provided below
and return this letter with fifteen (15) days to:
