RESOLUTION TO SIGN AGREEMENT
WITH STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
REGARDING PROJECT S 0024(11):
BE IT RESOLVED; by the Board of County Commissioners, Weld
County, Colorado, that they hereby approve a certain Agreement with
the State Highway Commission of Colorado, a public corporation, for
the use and benefit of the Department of Highways of the State of
Colorado, dated July 13, 1955, whereby Weld County has reviewed and
approved the Geometric Standards designated to govern the construction
of a Federal Aid Secondary Project to consist of improvements on State
Highway No. 14, extending between New Raymer and Weld County Line, as
per terms of said Agreement on behalf of Weld County by signatures of
the Board.

COOPERATIVE AGRDE1ENT
THIS AGICELMENT entered into this 13th day of julY 19 55 ,
by and between the County of Wald party of the first part, and
THE STATE HIGH'1AY 00l2.iSSION OF COLORADO, a public corporation, for the use and
benefit of the DEPARTMENT OF HIG}-?.IAYS of the STATE OF COLORADO, party of the second '
part, ?JITI?SSETH that
WHEREAS, The Department has constructed, or proposes to construct, or provide
for the construction of, a project known as Project 8 00211(11)
approximately 6.602 miles long, extending

Highway No. 44 in the County, and
WHEREAS, the said State Highway is part of the Federal Aid Secondary System,
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the Federal Aid Act of 1950, the Parties
have jointly reviewed the Geometric Standards governing the type of construction for
said Project and have agreed as follows:
That the 1955 Annual Average Traffic Volume, as determined from actual
vehicular count, by the Planning and Research Division of the Department is found to
be 1100 vehicles per day. Therefore, in accordance with approved apnd established
practices, the traffic volume twenty years hence is estimated to be ou0 vehicles per
day. Consequently, the type of construction shall be that designated as Type UU2
of. the Geometric Standards dated August 1, 1952, more fully described as follows:
The surface shall consist of &dine Bitsdnoae , 22
feet wide on a roadway 30 feet wide. The maximum grade shall be
3.347 percent and the curvature shall not exceed 0 _ degrees and 30
minutes. The right of ways shall not be lest than 77 feet in width,

have a design load of 3�/ . Those structures having a length less than
sixty, (60) feet shall have a clear roadway width, between curbs or wheel guards, of
3/ feet and those hav - ng a length of sixty (60) feet and over shall have a
clear roadway width of feet.
This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the
Successors and assigns of the Parties thereto.
This Agreement is executed with reference to the signatories on behalf of
the County by virtue of a resolution passed at the meeting of the Board of County
Commissioners held on Wednesday, JU1y 13, 1955 , a certified copy of which is
attached hereto.
