RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "STOP" AND "STOP AHEAD" SIGNS ON WELD COUNTY ROAD
39 AT WELD COUNTY ROAD 18
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineering Department has recommended to the
Board that "Stop" and "Stop Ahead" signs be installed on Weld County Road 39 at
Weld County Road 18, to insure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic devices are necessary
for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Department of Engineering be, and hereby is, directed
to install "Stop" and "Stop Ahead" signs on Weld County Road 39 at Weld County
Road 18, for the safety of the general public, and that said signs must conform
to the State manual and specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 23rd day of September, A.D. , 1991.

ACTION TAKEN: I talked to Ms. McAfee and told her that I would look at the intersection
and have a traffic study done to see if the signs are needed.
9/20/91: See the attached recommending that "Stop" and "Stop Ahead" signs be placed on
WCR 39 coming onto WCR 18.

Dear Sirs:
We would like to respectfully request the installation of
stop signs at the intersection of Weld County Roads 18 and
39 . This is a blind intersection which would benefit from
the addition of stop signs ( either at all 4 corners or 2
signs E-W or N-S ) .
