Home My WebLink About911482.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE EXTENSION OF TERMINATION DATES OF VARIOUS PEST CONTROL DISTRICTS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, petitions were presented to the Board of County Commissioners requesting the extension of the termination dates of five pest control districts, which presently expire December 31, 1991, said districts are: Windsor-Severance Pest Control District (#1) Johnstown Pest Control District (02) St. Vrain Pest Control District (03) Milliken-LaSalle-Kersey Pest Control District (#7) New Raymer-Stoneham Pest Control District (08) WHEREAS, a hearing was held before the Board on the 23rd day of December, 1991, at or about 9:00 a.m. , concerning said request, and WHEREAS, it was determined by the Board, after hearing the evidence presented, that it is in the best interest of Weld County to extend the termination dates of the abovementioned districts to December 31, 1996. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that pursuant to Section 35-5-104(7) , CRS, the termination dates of the abovementioned pest control districts be, and hereby are, extended from December 31, 1991, to December 31, 1996. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 23rd day of December, A.D. , 1991. Lacy, Chairman Commissioner George Kennedy, Pro-Tem Commissioner Constance L. Harbert Commissioner C. W. Kirby Commissioner W. H. Webster Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison The following business was transacted: I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 9, 1991, and duly published December 12, 1991, in The New News, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Windsor-Severance Pest Control District (Ill) , Johnstown Pest Control District (#2) , St. Vrain Pest Control District (#3) , Milliken-LaSalle-Kersey Pest Control District (#7) , and New Raymer-Stoneham Pest Control District (48) to extend their termination dates beyond December 31, 1991. Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. The Board reviewed the petitions submitted by said districts requesting the termination dates be extended to December 31, 1996. Representatives from Districts #2, #7, and 118 spoke in favor of the extension and thanked the Board for their support. Commissioner Kennedy moved to approve the request of Windsor- Severance Pest Control District (#1) , Johnstown Pest Control District (42) , St. Vrain Pest Control District (#3) , Milliken-LaSalle-Kersey Pest Control District (#7) , and New Raymer-Stoneham Pest Control District (#8) to extend their termination dates to December 31, 1996. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Harbert, and carried unanimously. This Certification was approved on the 30th day of December, 1991.
