RE: APPROVE REORGANIZATION OF WELD COUNTY GOVERNMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Article IV, Section 4-1(8) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter
provides that the Board of County Commissioners "shall organize and may
reorganize the departments established by this Charter, and assign or reassign
functions and duties between departments and divisions, and may create additional
divisions", and
WHEREAS, the Board wishes to reorganize Weld County Government to better
coordinate the current functions, account for contracted services to other
entities, and balance the workload and responsibilities of each Commissioner
Coordinator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Weld County Government be, and hereby is, reorganized into
the following five departments and respective divisions indicated below:
DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, CENTRAL PURCHASING, AND PERSONNEL:
Finance Contract Services
Personnel County-wide Communications
General Services Central Purchasing
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES:
Health Department Extension Service
Hospital Pest and Weed
Ambulance Service
DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES:
Human Resources
Social Services
DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING SERVICES:
Planning and Zoning
Building Inspection
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS:
Engineering
Road and Bridge
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the above reorganization be, and
hereby is, effective immediately.
