RE: DECLARE LOCAL EMERGENCY DISASTER
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Towns of Firestone, Frederick, and the
unincoporated area of Evanston, Colorado, suffered serious damage
to streets, culverts and emergency response activities caused by
heavy rainstorms occuring on Friday, August 17 , 1990 , and
WHEREAS, the cost and magnitude of responding to and
recovering from the impact of physical damage from the flooding is
far in excess of the local entities available resources and
budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board o£ County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, hereby declares this to be
a local emergency disaster.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day of
October, A.D. , 1990 .
