RE: ESTABLISH RESERVES IN FISCAL YEAR 1993 IN COMPLIANCE WITH AMENDMENT ONE
(TABOR)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State Constitutional Amendment One (TABOR) , which passed on
November 3, 1992, allows for the establishment of emergency reserves, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Administration has recommended that
reserves be established in fiscal year 1993 in the amount of $2,280,219 for the
future operation and capital needs of the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that reserves in the amount of $2,280,219 be, and hereby are,
created as provided by Amendment One (TABOR) for future operational and capital
needs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that said reserves be designated in the
following funds:
FUND AMOUNT
Social Services $ 1,580,219
Road & Bridge Fund 700,000
TOTAL $ 2,280,219
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 15th day of December, A.D. , 1993.
