GREELEY/WELrrebruary 11 , 1991
Gordon Lacy, Chairman
Weld County Commissioners
P.O. Box 758
Greeley, CO 80632
Honorable Commissioners:
We are very fortunate to have a company the caliber of
Eastman Kodak in our community. We're even more fortunate in that
Kodak has expressed their desire to increase operations locally and
are actively marketing within the Kodak corporation to do so. In
1990 alone, they announced a $90 million dollar expansion. An
announcement that we would love to hear again in 1991 or 1992.
As you are aware, we have a tool that can make a huge
difference in the local Kodak teams ability to land additional
projects in Windsor. We urge you to, in some form, utilize Senate
Bill 118 in providing an incentive to quality new and existing
company locations, such as Kodak.
While we do understand the immediate downside of this
incentive, in the long run, we believe the ability to use SB 118 could
make the difference in getting new locations or expansions, which
would ultimately increase the county tax base and benefit all tax
payers.
Respectfully,
it 7// I x';/cr_'C 7C
