RE: ASSESSMENT OF COST OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR WELD COUNTY JOHNSON
SUBDIVISION LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1993-2
A public hearing was conducted on November 3, 1993, at 9:00 A.M. , with the
following present:
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Chairman
Commissioner W. H. Webster, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Carol Harding
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
County Engineer, Drew Scheltinga
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated September 27, 1993, and
duly published September 30, 1993, in the Windsor Beacon, a public hearing
was conducted to consider the assessment of costs for the Weld County
Johnson Subdivision Local Improvement District No. 1993-2. Bruce Barker,
County Attorney, made this a matter of record and stated no objections
were received. Mr. Barker stated the Notice of Hearing was mailed to the
affected property owners on September 29, 1993. Drew Scheltinga, County
Engineer, noted the parameters of the project and said he is satisfied
with the results. He said the project came in under the estimated amount
due to the contractor saving and reusing the shoulder material. Total
cost is $48,236.00, and Mr. Scheltinga recommended the full amount be
apportioned to the district, making each assessment $1,205.90 for 40 lots.
There was no public testimony offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to find the assessment of Weld County Johnson
Subdivision Local Improvement District No. 1993-2 to be just and
equitable, and to apportion equally among 40 lots an assessment of
$1,205.90. Seconded by Commissioner Hall, the motion carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 8th day of November, 1993.
