as WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
o pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested

x with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and

O WHEREAS, Paragraph 5 of Section 14-9 of Article XIV of the Home Rule
W Charter for Weld County, Colorado, as amended November 6, 1984, provides that
N a written sealed bids and a ten-day period for consideration and investigation of
the bids be required for purchases in excess of an amount set annually by the
z Board of County Commissioners by Ordinance, and

• U WHEREAS, it is necessary that this Board set the limit for the year 1992
z to comply with said provision, and

WHEREAS, the Board, after consultation with staff, consideration of past
01 a bid procedures, and being otherwise fully advised, has determined that all
co m w purchases for the year 1992 in excess of $5,000.00 shall be by written, sealed
bid, and shall be followed by a ten-day period unless waived by this Board.

v NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners in and
for the County of Weld, State of Colorado, that all purchases for the year 1992
in excess of $5, 000.00 shall be by written, sealed bid, and shall be followed by

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board that this Ordinance shall supersede all
prior Ordinances and Resolutions concerning setting of the amount of purchases
which must be by written sealed bids with a ten-day period for consideration as
enumerated in this Ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board that the effective date of said
Ordinance No. 136-F shall be January 1, 1992.
