PA 23 PROGRAM NARRATIVE
The Family Educational Network of Weld County (FENWC) currentyl serves
migrants living in the Hudson, Prospect Valley and Keenesburg areas.
There is a large labor camp with approximately thirty-two (32) dorm
type apartments. FENWC currently serves an average of 15 children
from this area, however we could serve a greater ammount of the
children in need if we had a faciclity located in the area of need.
Presently the children are bused a minimum of thirty (30) miles one
way to receive Migrant Head Start services.
The aforementioned area is located in southern Weld County, and the
principal economic factors are agricultural related activities, crops
include spinach, sugar beets, onion and potatoes.
