RE: ESTABLISH APRIL 15, 1993 AS EFFECTIVE DATE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO WELD
COUNTY SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Planning Services is currently preparing
amendments to the Weld County Subdivision Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said proposed amendments to the Subdivision Ordinance will delete
the requirements for notice to surrounding property owners and the owners of
lessees of the mineral estate for recorded exemption applications, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Planning Services is recommending the Board
establish April 15, 1993 as the effective date of the proposed amendments, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to establish April 15, 1993 as the
effective date of the proposed amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that April 15, 1993 be, and hereby is, the effective date of
the proposed amendments to the Weld County Subdivision Ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of Planning be, and
hereby, is directed to delete the requirements for a certified list of
surrounding property owners and the mineral owners or lessees of the mineral
estate for recorded exemption applications after April 15, 1993.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 14th day of April, A.D. , 1993.

BEFORE THE WELD COUNTY, COLORADO, PLANNING COMMISSION
' RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Moved by Bud Clemons that the following resolution be introduced for passage by
the Weld County Planning Commission Be it resolved by the Weld County Planning
Commission the proposed amendments to Section 11 of the Weld County Subdivision
Ordinance, be approved
The amendments will delete the requirements for notification to surrounding
property owners and the owners and lessees of mineral rights for recorded
exemption applications The Planning and Zoning Task Force recommended the

proposed amendments The Board of County Commissioners directed the Planning
Department personnel to initiate the amendment process to change the Subdivision
, Ordinance requirements.

Effective Date of Proposed Subdivision Amendments
Subject:
The Weld County Planning and Zoning Task Force met on April 6, 1993. It has
recommended that the notice to surrounding property owners and the owners of
lessees of the mineral estate for recorded exemption applications be deleted from
the Weld County Subdivision Ordinance. The Department of Planning Services
concurs with this recommendation.
The Planning Department will proceed to amend the Weld County Subdivision
Ordinance if authorized by the Board of County Commissioners. It is anticipated
that the amendment process will take approximately 60-75 days. The Planning
Department is recommending that the Board establish April 15, 1993, as the
effective date of the proposed amendments. Individuals would not be required to
provide the certified list of surrounding property owners and the mineral owners
or lessees of the mineral estate after April 15, 1993.
