The Department of Planning Services' staff has reviewed your request to install a 44 foot by 46 foot by 8 foot high pole building over the brine water unloading pit area, and a 20. foot by 24 foot by 10 foot high pole building for equipment storage. The staff has determined the structures would not be a material deviation from the approved Special Review permit 11540. Building permits must be applied for and approved prior to the start of construction. Schuett: This letter will notify _you that the Northern Colorado Brine Facility, 10600 Weld County Road 54, Milliken, Colorado is planning construction of an open faced shed over two receiving dump pits at the facility . Materials for the shed will be tin and treated telephone poles. It will be 44 feet by 46 feet , 8 feet high. A second open faced shed, 20 feet by 24 feet , 10 feet high, will be constructed of the same materials and will be located adjacent to the office at the site . It will serve as a storage facility for equipment and machinery. We would like the Planning Department to review the proposed structures to see if there is material deviation from the approved plans as outlined in Special Use Permit Number 540. The inspection found the receiving pit to be acceptable. Note that work still needs to be done to repair the berms on .the south side of two ponds. The operator has agreed to do these repairs and not to use these ponds until repairs have been completed. Roggen Disposal Inc. requests immediate authority to temporarily open and operate the Northern Colorado Brine Facility using the Plan of Operation dated July 14 , 1989 and prepared by RBD, Inc . , Engineering Consultants of Fort Collins , Colorado . Roggen Disposal Inc . further proposes to continue operation of the facility in compliance with the USR (Use by Special Request) permit granted by the Weld County Commissioners . We are presently implementing the corrections to the facility as outlined in the RDD plan and we intend to operate according to the plan until the certificate of designation can be transferred to Roggen Disposal Inc . by the Weld County Commissioners. The on site operator of the facility will be Kenneth Thrasher, whose qualifications are being reviewed by the Weld County Health Department. The closing on the facility is set for April 11 .
