Home My WebLink About911180.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENTS FOR HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM WITH FORT LUPTON, PLATTEVILLE, EVANS, AND JOHNSTOWN AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with four Intergovernmental Agreements for the Housing Rehabilitation Program with the City of Fort Lupton, the Town of Platteville, the City of Evans, and the Town of Johnstown with the terms and conditions being as stated in said Agreements, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said Agreements, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the three Intergovernmental Agreements for the Housing Rehabilitation Program with the City of Fort Lupton, the Town of Platteville, the City of Evans, and the Town of Johnstown be, and hereby are, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said Agreements. Planning the Housing Rehabilitation Program: the parties, through their executives and staff, shall cooperate with each other in developing the Housieg Rehabilitation Program proposal, with all parties giving due couslderntion to the needs of its citizens and goals, objectives, •rules and regulations of the Act ; 2. 'fermi of Agreement: this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect until the program proposal is approved by the State and a contract is executed by by all parties. In the event the program proposal is approved by the State, this Agreement shall remain in effect through the completion of program activities; 3. Authorization to submit a Lropusal: the County is authorized to submit a proposal to the State on behalf of the City to apply for funds under the Community Development Block Grant Program and to act on behalf of the City, with regard to any subsequent negotiations, presentations or ieformlatlon iu conjunction with the grant application; ' 4. The City shall have no ubligatioLs or Lisponsibilities, financial ur otherwise, concerning the administration of Community Development Block Craet Housing Rehabilitation Programs and the County agrees to indemeify the City from any and all liability, loss or damage the City may suffer in connection with the administration of the project upon approval of the prupusal..
