RE: APPROVE LIST OF PERSONS WITH LABOR RELATIONS AND/OR LEGAL BACKGROUNDS FOR
WELD COUNTY GRIEVANCE BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the section entitled "2. COMPOSITION OF THE GRIEVANCE
BOARD" in the "Grievance Hearings" portion of Weld County Ordinance 118, as
amended, and found on page 14 of the Personnel Policy Handbook, the Board of
County Commissioners must choose persons with labor relations and/or legal
backgrounds to serve as the chairperson for the Weld County Grievance Board, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to approve
a list of persons who are so qualified, one of whom will be appointed by separate
resolution to hear a particular grievance requested by an employee pursuant to
the grievance procedures in the Weld County Personnel Policy Handbook.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that those persons who are qualified with labor relations
and/or legal backgrounds and who may be chosen by the Board of County
Commissioners to sit as chairperson for the Weld County Grievance Board in
particular grievance cases are the following individuals: Don Hoff, Lynn
Karowsky, Jacqueline Johnson, and Thomas David.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 26th day of January, A.D. , 1994.
